After three consecutive days, from May the 5th to the 7th, the 31st International Fur Fair of Kastoria ended. The first conclusions were very positive about the interest and the visitors of the fair. What was very obvious is a diffused feeling of optimism. It seems that both exhibitors and visitors believe that this year will be a very good one for the fur industry and fur business in general.
According to Mr. Vogiatzis, the president of the Gree Fur Organization, the results of this years fair were very encouraging. Some numbers given are the visitors of the two first days that reached a number of about 1400, from which 211 were foreigners from 32 different countries. The exhibitors were from allover the world: Russia, Italy, Denmark, Finalnd and other countries, but mainly they were from Greece. What makes the greek fur garments so spicial is the fact they are produced here, combining European couturre and design with low prices such as Chinas. This fact makes the greek furs irresistable to resellers and foreign buyers. Inside the three floors of the Edika building, where the exhibition took place, visitors could see the latest fashion designs, talk with the maufacturers, see new pelt colourings and designs, get informed about machinery used in fur Processing and many more. |
